Job summary

Empower Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Non-Sterile Compounding to deliver high-quality, customized non-sterile medications in a fast-growing 503A/503B environment.

The role requires 1+ year of non-sterile compounding experience, a CPhT license, and knowledge of USP standards. You will operate compounding equipment, ensure compliance, and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in non-sterile compounding including mixing, packaging and labeling.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documents and SOPs.
• Ability to perform basic math and use compounding equipment.
• CPhT or Technician Trainee license required.
• CPhT Board Nonsterile Compounding certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile compounded medications by weighing, mixing, and labeling ingredients.
• Execute compounding procedures per SOPs, ensuring traceability and compliance with USP 795/800 and state rules.
• Perform in-process and final verification checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
