Job summary

TruPharmaRX in Sunrise, FL is seeking a skilled Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support daily compounding operations in our 503A facility. You will prepare capsules, creams, suspensions and other dosage forms, while maintaining strict adherence to USP <795>, USP <800>, and internal SOPs.

The role requires attention to detail, accurate weighing and measuring, and collaboration with pharmacists and the operations team.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
• 1+ year of non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Strong competency with measurements, weights, and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Ability to follow detailed formulas and SOPs with precision.
• Excellent accuracy, cleanliness, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced compounding environment.

Responsibilities

• Compound non-sterile preparations (capsules, powders, suspensions, creams, gels, solutions, troches, etc.) following formulas and SOPs.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix APIs and excipients using balances, mixers, mortar/pestle, and other compounding tools.
• Package, label, and document finished products in compliance with prescription requirements and pharmacy procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate batch records, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure all compounding areas meet USP <795>, USP <800>, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and internal QA standards.
• Perform assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks, including HD/non-HD room segregation per USP <800>.
• Manage raw material inventory, including receiving, logging, COA verification, lot tracking, and FIFO rotation.
• Verify and record ingredient lot numbers, expiration dates, and quality data prior to compounding.
• Assist pharmacists and the operations team with workflow needs.
• Follow all safety requirements for handling hazardous drugs per USP <800>, including PPE usage.

Position Overview

TruPharmaRX is seeking a skilled Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support daily compounding operations, product preparation, and workflow efficiency in our 503A compounding facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and strict adherence to USP <795>, USP <800>, and all internal SOPs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Frequent use of hands for fine motor skills, including measuring, weighing, mixing, labeling, and documentation.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods as required by USP <800>.
