Qualifications

• Iowa Board of Pharmacy registration required.
• National pharmacy technician certification preferred but not required.
• Non-sterile compounding experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy calculations and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile compounded medications according to prescriptions and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of capsules, liquids, creams, ointments, and other dosage forms.
• Complete compounding documentation and support prescription processing.
• Follow quality assurance and pharmacist verification processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding area.
• Support inventory management of medications, chemicals, and equipment.
• Properly use, clean, and maintain compounding equipment.
• Follow USP standards and state requirements and company policies.
