Job summary

Belmar Pharma Solutions is hiring a Lab/Facilities Support role to prepare and decontaminate equipment, maintain clean workspaces, and distribute supplies across departments. You will support both sterile and non-sterile operations with attention to safety and quality guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma, some lab assistant training is a plus, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training as lab assistant or similar field a plus.
• Experience in a maintenance/support role preferable.
• Ability to prioritize and complete time-sensitive duties.

Responsibilities

• Distributes compounding supplies to departments.
• Processes supply requests promptly and cooperatively.
• Supports inventory control for supplies and instruments.
• Transports finished compounds to fulfilment or quality areas.
• Washes and decontaminates lab equipment and maintains clean areas.
• Cleans CNC areas and transfers materials across zones.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment as applicable.
• Adheres to hazardous drug safety and disposal guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Prepare and decontaminate hazardous and non-hazardous equipment and glassware for non-sterile and sterile operations according to USP 795/797/800 guidelines. Keep work areas organized. Perform weekly and monthly cleaning of the corridors.

Responsibilities

• Distributes compounding supplies to departments.
• Processes supply requests in a prompt, cooperative, and efficient manner
• Assists with maintaining daily, monthly, and yearly inventory control for supplies and instruments.
• Transports finished compounds to the fulfilment area or quality department as required.
• Washes and decontaminates hazardous and non-hazardous laboratory equipment and glassware and maintains a clean work area according to cleaning SOP guidelines. Restocks equipment and glassware in appropriate rooms if applicable.
• Maintains equipment: Operating, calibrating and sterilizing lab equipment if applicable.
• Follow safety procedures: Ensures a safe work environment by following hazardous drug safety, exposure and disposal guidelines and sharps safety procedures.
• Cleans Non-Classified (CNC) areas and aids in cleaning select iso-classified areas
• Cleans and transfers materials into CNC areas.
• Mops non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous corridor floors daily
• Runs autoclave cycles, performs dehydrogenation of glassware, and vial washing procedures. (Applies to sterile facilities only)
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, etc.) for long periods of time when required
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
