Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in northwest Missouri is seeking an Ultrasound Tech (non-reg) to provide high‑quality ultrasound and vascular procedures under the supervision of Radiology leaders.

You will interpret orders, prepare patients, adjust imaging parameters, review images, and document results in the Radiology Information System. Travel between facilities is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program including general ultrasound, vascular and OB.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• RDMS certification required within 6 months of graduation; RDMS or other licensure preferred upon hire.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Tech (non-reg) works under the supervision of the Director, Associate Director, Radiology Manager, and Lead Technologist in Radiology to provide the technical knowledge and expertise to safely and accurately perform ultrasound scans, vascular lab procedures and other related procedures as requested.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a provider's instructions.


• Screen patients for safety.


• Explain procedures to patients.


• Prepare patients for procedures.


• Select imaging parameters when adjusting an ultrasound machine.


• View images from an imaging session and keep records of the results.


• Review and complete patient exam and charges within the radiology information system.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Satisfactory completion or in process of completing an approved Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program which includes general ultrasound and vascular as well as OB. - Required

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Upon Hire


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Registry obtained within 6 months post graduation from a diagnostic medical sonographer program. - Required Upon Hire


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - or another professional medical licensure - Preferred Upon Hire

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
