Job summary

Bay Business Group is a Falls Church, VA-based accounting firm serving nonprofits and small businesses in the Mid-Atlantic. We are hiring remote nonprofit accountants to manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients and to prepare financial statements with timely reporting.

You will handle reconciliations, payroll processing, budgeting support, and year-end filings while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in nonprofit or fund accounting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Experience managing multiple clients
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work during normal business hours to support our clients

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Process payroll and ensure tax compliance
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting

• Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed

We are looking for new non-profit accountants to join our growing organization. We are seeking detail-oriented accountants who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients.
