Village Caregiving is seeking a Night-shift Non Medical Caregiver in Salem, WV to provide in-home assistance so clients can stay in their own homes. You will help with daily living activities and adhere to health and safety standards.

The role offers benefits and opportunities to advance, with a flexible schedule and potential for growth in the caregiver specialist track. Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Past caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Ability to follow dietary constraints and assist with personal care.

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the home or to appointments.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support physical therapy and other prescribed exercises.
• Run errands or accompany clients shopping when needed.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

*Night-shift - SALEM, WV Non Medical Caregiver: As a Caregiver with Village Caregiving, you will provideIn Home, Non Medical Caregiving to individuals needing assistance with activities of daily living in order to remain in their own homes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
