Village Caregiving in Salem, WV is seeking a Night-shift Non Medical Caregiver to provide in-home, non-medical care for individuals needing assistance with daily living activities, helping them remain safely in their own homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications, mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and accompanying clients to appointments, with clear reporting to nurses and family as needed.

• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to follow care plans and medical instructions.

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility to appointments and activities.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support physical therapy and other exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
