Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. seeks a Non-Invasive Vascular Technician to perform non-invasive vascular testing and evaluate for peripheral vascular disease. You will be part of the hospital team, applying vascular testing skills with patient-focused care and age-specific needs.

Responsibilities include using vascular testing modalities, adhering to hospital policies, and contributing to continuous quality improvement while maintaining clinical competency.

Qualifications

• Diploma required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Must have or obtain one of RVS/RVT/ARRT (VS) within 90 days of hire.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Non-Invasive Vascular tech is trained in vascular physiology and non-invasive techniques, is responsible for performing non-invasive test procedures on patients to evaluate for peripheral vascular disease, functions as a member of the hospital team. Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the care of patients relative to their vascular testing, medical diagnoses, nursing interventions, required vascular assessments, age specific requirements. The employee uses the technical process, CQI process, and hospital and community resources to plan direct patient care, demonstrates clinical competency in all modalities of vascular testing. The employee uses department and hospital wide policies procedures during the provision of patient care, is accountable for improving job knowledge and skills.
