Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Cardiology Technician to perform independent ECGs, Holter monitoring, and signal-averaged ECGs while monitoring diverse patient populations. The role includes managing the ECG system, distributing interpreted results, and assisting with stress tests during regular hours or on call.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with EMT or CCI certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior patient care experience.
• Prior use of computer database systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; EMT or CCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms independently.
• Assist with Holter monitor hook-up and signal-averaged ECGs.
• Support stress tests with Cardiac Stress RNs or physicians.
• Assist with research, training, and information management.
• Provide clerical and clinical support to cardiology staff, patients and families.
