The Non-Invasive Cardiology nurses work in collaboration with echocardiology sonographers, nuclear technologists, cardiologists, cardiology APPs as strong nursing support for all non-invasive testing. Our nurses play a vital role within these departments by utilizing their nursing knowledge, independence and autonomy. Our Non-Invasive department provides patients with cardiovascular screening, diagnostic testing, non-invasive vascular studies and pre and post-surgical testing. The non-invasive cardiology nurse oversees the patients in the holding area awaiting testing and awaiting transport back to their in-patient unit.
BSN required.
Two or more years of cardiac catheterization nursing experience preferred.
Current Pennsylvania RN License required.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
RCIS and/or CCRN certification preferred.
