The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of noninvasive cardiology. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, teaching, and clinical care. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in the clinical education of medical students and medical residents. The academic clinician position requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching or equivalent service.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care of patients at Pennsylvania Hospital, as well as interpretation of cardiac noninvasive studies. Candidates with special interest, such as preventive cardiology, women's cardiovascular health or heart failure will have the opportunity to shape their practice.
