Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an LCME- or COCA-accredited school
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US to practice medicine or surgery
  • Residency training approved by VA for core specialty training leading to board certification eligibility
  • Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty is required or strongly preferred
  • English language proficiency for direct patient care is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiac care including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, TEE, and diagnostic catheterizations
  • Perform and interpret nuclear stress tests and EKG readings
  • Teach and supervise medical staff, residents, and students
  • Participate in patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • On-call coverage and potential weekend duties as needed
  • Engage in program development and participate in research or quality improvement efforts
