Due to growth in the region, SSM Health is looking for BC/BE clinical cardiologists to join SSM Health - Dean Medical Group, which is one of the largest multi-specialty, integrated healthcare delivery systems in the country. In addition to preventive cardiology, SSM Health offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures including coronary interventions, structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, ASD/PFO/VSD closure), and EP procedures including A-fib ablations, VT ablations, etc. This is supported by a robust cardiac surgical program, which is the only robotic cardiac surgical program in the entire state of Wisconsin, specializing in coronary as well as valvular surgery, pacemaker and lead extraction, in addition to conventional adult cardiac surgery.
The position involves the practice of cardiovascular medicine in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including diagnostic cardiovascular testing such as ECG, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, diagnostic stress testing, and nuclear scans, PET/PET SPECT, etc. Training and cardiac CT is welcome but not required.
Call and weekend coverage is 1:6 for a full-time position. A full-time position consists of 4 clinical days and 1 administrative day per week. Based on individual needs and preference, we also offer half-time (0.5 FTE) and part-time (0.5 FTE) positions which come with an appropriately reduced number of call and weekend coverage.
Inpatient care is provided at Saint Mary's Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin, while the outpatient practice is offered in multiple locations including Madison and surrounding areas within 30 to 40 minutes of Madison. Whether working half-time or full-time, our physicians have consistently ranked very high in productivity and compensation in the Midwest.
