Job summary

The Royal C Johnson VA Health Care System in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a full-time non-invasive cardiologist to provide consultative services and develop treatment plans for Veterans across outpatient, inpatient, Community Living Center, and emergency department settings.

You will interpret ECGs, echocardiograms and stress tests; coordinate care with VA and non-VA centers, and participate in telemedicine initiatives and EDRP eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training completed in an approved core specialty.
• Board certification eligibility within VA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative cardiovascular care for Veterans in outpatient, inpatient, Community Living Center and ED settings.
• Interpret ECGs, Holter, event monitors and echocardiograms; perform stress testing as needed.
• Coordinate care with VA and non-VA referral centers; utilize telemedicine tools as appropriate.
