Job summary

Sylvania in DeWitt, MI is seeking a part-time lunch and recess supervisor to provide assistance and supervision to students during the lunch and recess program. You will help maintain a positive, safe environment and supervise students to ensure safety and well-being.

The position reports to the Building Principal. A high school diploma or GED is required; knowledge or experience with upper elementary students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Supervises students during lunch and recess and ensures their safety.
• Keeps cafeteria clean by removing trash, wiping tables and cleaning spills.
• Directs movement of students within cafeteria/playground boundaries for smooth transitions.
• Assists students as needed; prefers experience with upper elementary students.

• The employee supervises students during lunch and recess and is directly responsible for their safety and well-being
• Assures the cafeteria is clean by removing trash, wiping tables and cleaning spills as needed
• Directs movement of students within the cafeteria/playground boundaries to assure smooth transition of students from lunch to recess time
• Assists students as needed
• Prefer knowledge or experience with upper elementary students

Compensation

Per DESPA Union Contract, Class III - 08 position

1.75 hour/day position; schedule as determined by Building Principal
