Job summary

ShopRite of Wall in Wall Township, NJ is seeking a Non-Foods Clerk to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in the Non-Foods Department. You will assist customers, maintain department cleanliness, and perform tasks efficiently and safely per company policy.

Essential duties include greeting customers, processing price changes, and upholding QA standards. This position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Able to stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to handle products with care and avoid allergies.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Able to work cooperatively and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, rotate merchandise; maintain department presentation.
• Assist in inventory management and communicate low stock to the manager.
• Handle damaged products per policy and manage damaged goods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department; QA standards.
• Operate baler and compactor; follow safety guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces and equipment; adhere to sanitation standards.
• Keep shelves fully stocked, faced, and properly tagged.
• Complete all required training; follow company policies and safety rules.
• Maintain punctual attendance and perform overtime as needed.
