Job summary

ShopRite of Hazlet, NJ is seeking a Non-Foods Clerk to ensure a great customer experience through pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in the Non-Foods Department. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and following company policies. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to perform this role effectively.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to work with products without allergic issues.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must meet time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, and rotate merchandise in Non-Foods.
• Order and maintain inventory levels; inform supervisor of low stock.
• Handle damaged products per policy and manage damaged goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe department and sanitation standards.
• Keep shelves stocked and displays faced and signed.
• Follow safety requirements and company policies at all times.
