Job summary

ShopRite Linden is hiring a Non-Foods Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in the Non-Foods Department. You will assist customers, maintain inventory, and uphold department cleanliness and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to company policies, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied temperatures. This position requires a reliable schedule and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning products.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, rotate, and restock merchandise in Non-Foods.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory; report low stock.
• Handle damaged products per policy and control damaged goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe department and QA standards.
• Operate equipment and follow safety guidelines; sanitize surfaces.
