Metalico is seeking a Non-Ferrous Production Lead to oversee daily operations in the yard, ensure quality standards, and support the Non-Ferrous Manager. The role involves safety adherence, material handling, inventory control, and cross-training across equipment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, scrap/metal industry exposure, strong attention to detail, and reliable attendance. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Industry experience in scrap, metal preferred.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Safety oriented with safe work habits.
• Punctual with good attendance.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Willing to cross-train on equipment.
• Basic math, reading, and English writing.

Responsabilités

• Weigh non-ferrous material and input transactions in the in-house system.
• Weigh, sort, and move material and perform general material handling.
• Operate forklift; be ready to learn larger equipment.
• Maintain records for deliveries and shipments.
• Conduct monthly retail inventory.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Interact with scales to verify pricing.
• Act as liaison between management and crew.
• General labor: sweeping, shoveling, cleanup.
• Cross-train on other equipment and assist staff.
