Job summary

Metalico is seeking a Non-Ferrous Production Lead to oversee daily operations, ensure quality and safety, and support the Non-Ferrous Manager. This role manages yard activities, records, and equipment operation, with cross-training across positions as needed.

The ideal candidate has metal industry exposure, a safety mindset, and strong team leadership with good communication. Monday–Friday, 40 hours with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in scrap/metal environment preferred.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors as required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; safety minded.
• Punctual, reliable and good attendance required.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily non-ferrous operations and ensure safety compliance.
• Weigh and input transactions into the in-house system.
• Weigh, sort, and move material with proper handling.
• Operate forklift and other equipment; cross-train as needed.
• Maintain records for deliveries and shipments; supervise yard activities.
• Perform general labor duties and assist as required.
