Job summary

M&M Recycling in Locust Grove, GA is hiring a Scrap Yard Buyer for the non-ferrous division. You will evaluate, grade, and price incoming non-ferrous material while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on work, safety awareness, and the ability to work well with the yard team. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in the scrap metal field preferred.
• Ability to work in an outdoor, high-energy environment with physical activity.
• Willingness to learn and follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they unload non-ferrous scrap material at the small scale.
• Weigh, grade, and evaluate non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminum, wire).
• Provide accurate pricing based on market values and company standards while documenting transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with general labor and processing tasks in the non-ferrous division.
