Description
Position Summary

The NDT Operator Level IIis responsible forperforming, interpreting, and documenting non-destructive examinations on materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. The position requires certification andproficiencyin applicable NDT methods and the ability to evaluate test results,identifydiscontinuities, and ensure product integrity whilemaintainingcompliance with applicable industry standards and safety requirements.

The NDT Operator Level II plays a critical role in supporting product quality, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
NDT Inspection & Testing
  • Perform non-destructive examinationsin accordance withapproved procedures and applicable standards.
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment prior to inspection activities.
  • Conduct inspections using approved methods such as:
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI/MFL)
  • Visual Testing (VT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)(if applicable)
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)(if applicable)
  • Evaluate indications anddetermineacceptance or rejection based on applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Interpretand document inspection results accurately and completely.
  • Verify product conformance throughout various stages of manufacturing and repair processes.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare inspection reports, certifications, and test records.
  • Maintain traceability of inspected materials and components.
  • Ensure inspection recordscomply withcustomer, API, ISO, and company requirements.
  • Identifyand document nonconforming conditions.
  • Communicate inspection findings promptly to supervision and production personnel.
Quality Compliance
  • Follow established quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Assistwith root cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality concerns.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection effectiveness and process efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform daily equipment checks and verification tests.
  • Assistin coordinating equipment calibration and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or calibration concernsimmediately.
Safety & Environmental Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Ensure inspection processescomply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions or equipment issuesimmediately.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Level II certification in one or more NDT methodsin accordance withemployer-based certification program compliant with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, or NAS-410 (as applicable).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of NDT inspection experience ina manufacturing, fabrication, oilfield, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret:

  • Working knowledge of applicable inspection standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computerproficiencyincludingMicrosoft Office applications.
Preferred
  • Multiple Level II certifications.

  • Oilfield equipment
  • Sucker rods
  • Forgings
  • Weldments
  • Machined parts
  • Experience with API Q1 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic quality records.
Certification Requirements

Mustmaintaincurrent employer-authorized Level II certification in applicable inspection methods.

  • Ability to work in industrial manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing and industrial shop environment.
  • Exposure to production equipment and heavy materials.
  • Use of safety equipment including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE asrequired.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may berequiredto support production schedules and customer requirements.
