Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Test Specialist

San Antonio, TX

Contract Position

$30.28-$33.65/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup, execution, and documentation of non-destructive tests, primarily Eddy Current, to ensure quality compliance of aerospace components.
  • Set up and operate specialized non-destructive test and measurement equipment in accordance with controlled standards and procedures.
  • Conduct inspections, collect data, analyze results, and document findings in quality records or test reports.
  • Support the development and documentation of test procedures and technique sheets.
  • Participate in corrective action processes and provide feedback on adverse quality trends.
  • Conduct or support NDT certification training preparation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and potentially interface with regulatory agencies (DCMA, FAA, Military).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an NDT Quality Test Specialist in the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • Certification: Recent or current NDT Level II certification in Eddy Current (ET).
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
    • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
    • General understanding of NDE techniques and processes.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with ET MAUS and ET Low Frequency.
    • Prior experience working with regulatory agencies such as DCMA, FAA, or Military.
    • Previous experience with Boeing.
    • Advanced NDT certifications or an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline.
