Non-Destructive Testing Level 3 (East Hartford)

What You Will Do:

• The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 Subject Matter Experts who will support key module centers, business units, suppliers, and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems. As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, you will perform NDT audits and certifications, provide technical guidance and inspection system oversight, and drive process improvements.
• Specific NDT L3 proficiencies being considered are Etch, FPI, ECI, and X-Ray (specifically film, digital, and computed radiography).

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years NDT experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Ability to gain P&W NDT Level 3 certification in an applicable method upon hiring.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Currently hold P&W Level 3 certification in one or multiple applicable methods.
• Experience with training, personnel testing and auditing NDT systems.
• Experience that includes a background in modern and automated inspection systems.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations and engineering.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
• Project Management and Operations Leadership experience.
• Experience with NX, SAP, and Microsoft suite.

Salary range:

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Incentive compensation:

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
