Pratt & Whitney seeks a Ultrasonic NDT Level 3 Subject Matter Expert to join the Columbus Forge team. The role focuses on supporting UT NDT audits, providing technical guidance, and driving process improvements in a high-volume aerospace manufacturing setting.

You will perform inspections, oversee systems, and contribute to certification readiness, training, and process optimization while working onsite at the Columbus Forge facility.

What You Will Do:

• The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for Ultrasonic (UT) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 Subject Matter Experts who will work in the Columbus Forge business unit to support production and develop/continuously improve our UT NDT processes and systems.
• As a member of the Q&PE Columbus Forge NDT team, you will support UT NDT audits and certifications, provide technical guidance and training, perform inspection system oversight, and drive process improvements.
• Specific NDT L3 proficiencies being considered are: Immersion Ultrasonic, specifically longitudinal and shear wave immersion disk inspection.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years NDT experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Ability to gain P&W UT Level 3 certification.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Currently hold P&W Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Testing.
• Experience with training, personnel testing and auditing NDT systems.
• Experience that includes a background in fully automated inspection systems i.e. IRT ScanMaster and/or Matec Aragorn.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations and engineering.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
• Project Management and Operations Leadership experience.
• Experience with NX, SAP, and Microsoft suite.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
