The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Non-Destructive Evaluation engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) located in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include assisting with non-destructive testing and evaluation for NAVSEA ships and submarines and providing knowledge and understanding regarding best practices and risks and probability of detection for various test procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or another related discipline
  • Active Secret-level clearance
  • 10 years of experience with ship and submarine structural design and testing
  • Understanding of ASNT (American Society of Nondestructive Testing) non-destructive testing and evaluation standards
  • Detailed understanding of the probability of detection (POD) and corresponding risks that result from various non-destructive testing procedures

Desired:

  • Understanding of Navy non-destructive testing and evaluation standards
  • Experience applying non-destructive testing and evaluation methods for NAVSEA ships and submarines

Pay Range

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $103,800 - $218,100. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
