An opportunity has arisen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for a Non Clinical Support Worker on Lancaster Suite.University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust provides acute hospital care to the local population.We would invite candidates who want to help us make a difference for our patients.You will work in conjunction with all staff in order to maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure housekeeping jobs are completed in a satisfactory manner.
o Providing housekeeping duties, to support Clinical Staff
o To co-ordinate all patient facilities services within the ward areao To ensure that the ward is a safe, clean, tidy and comfortable environmento Ensure that food is available to meet the patients' needso Assist the ward staff to receive, welcome and guide patients and visitors onto the wardo Assist nursing staff with the feeding of patients who are unable to do so for themselves and complete food charts where necessaryo Ensure all patients are afforded privacy and dignity throughout their stayo Ensure that there is an adequate linen supply throughout the dayo Respond to health emergencies as appropriate
We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
