Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist


Location(s): Los Angeles, CA (Remote)


This team cares for high-acuity and complex patients, requiring contractors with strong clinical knowledge, a deep understanding of pathophysiology, and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.


Experience:

  • Must have an RN or MD certification from a US School
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a CDS, with some or all of that experience at an Academic Medical Center
  • Ability to discuss medical diagnostic topics
  • Familiarity with coding related to documentation
  • Experience working in an EPIC and 3M 360 Encompass (CAC) software environment
  • Additional qualifications include:
  • Consistent job history in CDI with contractor experience
  • Solid clinical/medical foundation, preferably with acute floor nursing experience
  • Recent experience using 3M CAC 360 and EPIC
  • Extensive knowledge of coding, regulatory, and compliance issues
  • Strong technical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate and discuss pathophysiology
  • Recent or current AMC experience (preferably within the last 12 months)
