Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking a Category Manager - Non-Clinical to lead end-to-end sourcing for non-clinical spend across Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental Services, IT, and Design and Construction. You will develop and execute data-driven category strategies and manage complex sourcing initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Experience in indirect/non-clinical categories.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience per UTMB policy.

Responsibilities

• Own defined portfolio of non-clinical spend categories and contracts.
• Develop category strategies and roadmaps using spend data and market research.
• Lead negotiations and RFx processes with stakeholders.
• Ensure contracts include SLAs, terms, and performance measures.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive cost savings and risk management.
