Under the supervision of the department manager, shift supervisor, or designee, the Non-Certified Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures, as well as state, local, and federal requirements.Entity

Job Description
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
Qualifications: Ability to understand and implement detailed instructions, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, possess basic computer skills, work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, in confined spaces, and from elevated areas. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive motions, and have good visual and auditory acuity. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex-safe environment is required. Specific sensory and physical qualifications may apply for certain positions.
