Shift: Day Shift
Works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice setting. Responsibilities include clinical duties such as room setup, patient preparation, performing tests, taking vitals, collecting specimens, drawing blood, administering injections and immunizations, sterilizing equipment, and charting patient interactions in EMR or paper records. Also handles administrative tasks like patient check-in/out, scheduling, obtaining signatures, phone calls, and providing lab results. May perform limited procedures as trained.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2+ years of relevant clinical experience. Successful completion of in-house competency within 90 days of hire.
Credentials: Medical Assistant certification or externship, or 2+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical, office, and computer skills. Current BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
Experience: Preferred 3+ years as a Medical Assistant. Certification (CMA, RMA) preferred but not mandatory initially; certification can be obtained within 12 months if not already certified.
