As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will support the Ophthalmologist through clinical and administrative tasks, assist with patient care, and ensure a welcoming environment for patients.

Working hours: Days from 7:30AM – 4:00PM.

Ideal candidates will:

  1. Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
  2. Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties, including for high acuity patients.
  3. Conduct routine screening tests.
  4. Document patient information accurately.
  5. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. High School Diploma/GED.
  2. Knowledge of medical terminology.
  3. One year of ophthalmic patient care experience or relevant education/training.
  4. Understanding of ophthalmic sub-specialties and testing procedures.

Physical requirements include manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and visual acuity.

Follow standard precautions with personal protective equipment as required.
