Finley Buttes Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a full time, safety minded Non-CDL Water Truck/Leachate Driver to work at our site in Boardman, Oregon.

Schedule is Monday- Friday, Shift is 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This position requires Mandatory Every Other Saturday work.

Starting Wage is $25.12/HR

Safety Sensitive Position: YES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to efficiently and safely operate off road truck, dump truck articulated dump truck.
• Maintain dust control on all access roads, equipment haul roads and public dumping areas.
• Maintain Leachate tank and/or sump pump levels.
• Water and compact freshly placed dirt.
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment/water truck/off road truck and articulated dump truck experience is required.
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C Driver License REQUIRED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills.
• Must have eligible motor vehicle report & background check and clean drug screen to be eligible for employment.
