Job summary

84 Lumber Company is hiring a full-time Truck Driver to deliver materials to customer job sites and maintain yard operations. The role requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving history, and forklift operation capability.

You will build loads, manage unloading, and ensure a clean, safe yard while communicating any delays to management. Ideal candidates will be 21+, meet FMCSA requirements, and have a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to interact with the public and read highway signs.
• Provide a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations as required by FMCSA.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle per FMCSA.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSA.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and hold a valid certificate.
• May be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license depending on truck/hauler.
• May be required to have a Medical Exam certificate or card.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Operate forklift and ensure proper use and certification.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
