Overview

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering materials to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

1. Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
2. Forklift training, certification, and operation
3. Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
4. Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
5. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Proficient in English to communicate with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) annually and a list of violations or certification as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act standards.
• Not be disqualified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Complete or have completed a driver’s road test and hold a valid certificate or its equivalent.
• Depending on the truck, a commercial motor vehicle license and a valid Medical Exam certificate may be required.
• High school diploma or GED.
