Position Overview

We are hiring immediately for an entry‑level Hostler Driver / Ground Person at the Union Pacific Dallas Railyard in Wilmer, TX. On‑the‑job training will be provided; no experience required.

You will be an employee of Pacific Rail Services and not an employee of the railroad.

Shifts Available

• 4 am to 4 pm
• 4 pm to 4 am

Starting Rate Of Pay

$18.50/hr

Requirements

• Must be of legal age and have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a 7‑year background check (no felonies in past 7 years or jail time in last 5 years).
• Must pass a drug test and a physical capabilities test.
• No GED or diploma required.
• No CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a jockey truck moving 53 ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.
• Perform groundperson duties: climbing on and off railcars, locking/unlocking tracks, putting in/taking out inner box connectors (ICBs).
• Assist packer operators in loading/unloading equipment using hand signals.
• Assist in stacking/unstacking chassis and loading/unloading chassis racks.
• Other assigned duties.

Applicants must currently live within a 45 minute commute of Wilmer, TX. Out‑of‑area candidates or those requiring relocation will not be considered.
