Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a dependable delivery driver in Grimes, IA to deliver materials to customers, load and unload, and ensure delivery tickets match. This role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with starting pay around $23/hr for experienced drivers.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhere to safety policies, and assist the warehouse team with orders as needed. Benefits and a 401(k) are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a Valid Driver's license.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers, assisting with loading/unloading and ensuring the delivery ticket with material.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; report issues to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, receiving, verifying, staging and stocking material.

• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Pay Range:

$15.61 - $23.41

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
