Job summary

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Whitinsville, MA to transport cargo with a straight truck or van, emphasizing safety and compliance. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience (like equipment: straight/box truck).
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and driving log.
• Loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.45 per Mile with 1500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$15.00 per Stop with 55 - 60 Stops per Week
• Nights out: 2 Times Per Week with per diem
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: 6:00 AM

Deliver SOLOTo:ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NYC including Long Island and Buffalo.

Tractor Type: Straight Truck 22' and 26', and Sprinter Van

Freight: Touch – Glass

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
