Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to safely transport and unload food products on local routes, complying with DOT and company policies.

You will perform daily safety checks, drive in accordance with DOT rules, verify freight, and complete the required paperwork. The role requires 6–12 months driving experience, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift 60–90 pounds. Training provided for on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pre-employment drug test and road test required.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT rules and company driving guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect loads and verify freight against invoices; complete required paperwork.
• Deliver orders by truck/van on assigned schedule.
• Unload and place items at customer sites; obtain signatures; handle payments if needed.
• Ensure vehicles and freight are secured at all times.
• Process damaged goods and returns; document per policy.
• Keep daily hours-of-service records; file logs per DOT and company rules.
• Maintain clean tractor and loading dock areas; secure equipment after shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
