NON CDL Driver - Crozier

Our art-handling expertise has earned the trust of artists, collectors, dealers, galleries, and museums worldwide for four decades. We aim to be the primary service provider for the people and entities responsible for the care, movement, and long-term preservation of art and culture.

Our NON CDL Art Transportation Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe handling of artwork during transit, from one Crozier facility to another. They will also assist with loading and unloading freight, ensuring the integrity of all artworks remains intact.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate techniques and materials.
  • Install/de-install artworks during onsite projects using proper techniques and tools.
  • Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit.
  • Plan the organization and packing of trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects.
  • Conduct inspection reports for various types of art objects.
  • Lead a team, providing guidance and coaching during projects.
  • Act as liaison onsite between clients and company management.
  • Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not onsite.
  • Safely operate company vehicle; transport art to their destinations.
  • Perform all required truck inspections.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry.
  • Industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials.
  • Experience operating Gantry and Rigging equipment.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and coworkers.
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion, and follow-through.
  • Team player, capable of leading and giving clear instructions; self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and move objects over 75 lbs, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand.
Driver Qualifications:
  • Ability to safely operate a 26-ft box truck.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • CDL license preferred but not required.
  • Travel: 95% local, 5% overnight.
