Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver who can operate a 26-foot box truck across the Gastonia, NC area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to overtime, and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. What will your job involve?
  1. Safely collecting, delivering, and storing medical waste containers at customer locations
  2. Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
  3. Operating vehicles safely, including 26 ft box trucks
  4. Completing deliveries on schedule and communicating any changes or challenges
  5. Loading and unloading, prioritizing and organizing your truck as needed
  6. Managing routes according to leadership's instructions, delivering timely and efficient service
  7. Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours, and conducting roadside inspections
  8. Heavy lifting
What are we looking for?
  1. Willingness to be COVID vaccinated
  2. Experience with manual handling in any delivery-related industry (preferred but not mandatory)
  3. Willingness to work approximately 40 hours per week
  4. Experience with vehicle evaluations before and after trips
  5. Clean driving record
  6. Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus
  7. Experience operating large vehicles safely
  8. Knowledge of DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
  9. Confidence in road checks levels 1-3
  10. Proven employment longevity
  11. Reliable on-time delivery practices
