Job summary

Daniels Health in Hayward, CA is seeking a dependable, safety‑minded driver to operate a 26‑foot box truck on daily routes collecting and delivering medical waste containers from healthcare locations. This role offers strong autonomy, stable hours, overtime potential, and competitive benefits.

You will follow DOT regulations, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain professional customer relations while keeping routes efficient and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with manual handling preferred.
• Willingness to work full-time approx. 40 hours weekly.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks.
• Pass 7 Year FADV review in Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.

Responsibilities

• Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites
• Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships
• Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions
• Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise
• Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately
• Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs
• Pushing and pulling 100-250 lbs, as applicable to the role
• Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections
• Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems
• Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes

What will your job involve?

• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
