Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Non-CDL Delivery Driver for a full-time opportunity in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience operating large delivery vehicles, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Pay rate is $23/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL driver's license (Class C, D, or E) with an exceptional driving record.
• 3-5 years of professional driving experience preferred; 2+ years required.
• At least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements.
• Experience operating large vehicles and safely maneuvering and parking.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Alert, focused, and safety-conscious.
• Physically capable of loading and unloading materials up to 60 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working independently and interacting professionally with customers.
• Must comply with all applicable DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an assigned 26-ft flatbed delivery vehicle.
• Transport electrical equipment from the place of origin to assigned destinations.
• Load and unload electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Use a dolly, hand truck, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Pick up and organize loads in an orderly and logical manner according to assigned routes.
• Make timely deliveries while following predetermined routes.
• Obtain customer signatures or warehouse scans to confirm completed deliveries.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at every delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch and management as needed.
• Assist with mapping and planning delivery routes.
• Complete vehicle inspections before and after trips and report any deficiencies.
• Check weather and road conditions before departure.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Report major maintenance, safety, or delivery issues to management.
• Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and work-hour logs.
• Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, and applicable traffic laws.
• Adjust driving practices according to weather and road conditions.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
