Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: 5-day workweek (Monday through Saturday; schedule may vary weekly. Sundays off)
Start Time: 6 AM until job completion

Position Purpose
This driver role involves operating a straight truck or van intrastate and/or interstate on local routes to deliver and unload food products. The role includes handling urgent deliveries, ensuring safety in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations, and maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip safety inspections according to DOT regulations
- Check and verify loaded items against customer invoices
- Complete all freight-related paperwork accurately
- Operate tractor to loading dock and deliver orders as per route
- Handle urgent deliveries using small straight trucks or vans
- Unload products and manage customer storage areas
- Conduct damage checks and communicate with supervisors
- Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures
- Collect payments when required
- Manage returns and damaged goods appropriately
- Maintain logs of hours of service as per regulations
- Perform post-trip vehicle checks and secure equipment
- Keep cab, loading dock, and trailers clean and organized
- Complete end-of-shift paperwork and secure equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
- 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license
- Meet state licensing/certification requirements
- Minimum age 21
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment drug test and road test
- Ability to lift and handle freight up to 90 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
- Over 1 year of successful foodservice industry driving experience
- OSHA Forklift Operator certification
- Experience driving box trucks for over 6 months
- Additional non-CDL commercial driving experience
