Job summary

York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) in Sanford, ME, is hiring a Non-CDL Bus Driver for the full-time AM shift to transport riders on Demand Response and Flex Routes.

The role requires assisting all passengers, including those using mobility devices, and maintaining accurate passenger and vehicle records. Candidates must pass DOT drug/alcohol testing, background checks, and pre-employment screens; a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving is required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to comply with Federal drug/alcohol testing requirements and all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations according to the US DOT.
• Must pass a background check, pre-employment physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• A minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience.
• Route transportation or delivery experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with good defensive driving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of maintaining accurate record keeping of all passengers and vehicle statistics.
• Ability to communicate with clients with courtesy and respect.

Responsibilities

The York County Transportation Program seeks a qualified individual to transport persons to and from their destination for general public Demand Response and Flex Routes. Requires assisting all passengers, including those using mobility devises on and off the vehicle.

The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications, skills and abilities:

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
