Job summary

York County Transportation Program at York County Community Action Corp. is hiring a Non-CDL Bus Driver for full-time morning shifts. The role involves transporting passengers on Demand Response and Flex Routes, assisting mobility-impaired riders, and maintaining clear records with courteous service.

Qualifying candidates must be at least 21 with a valid license, pass DOT and background checks, and have a minimum of three years’ commercial driving experience. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Must comply with Federal drug/alcohol testing and all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations per USDOT.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience.
• Route transportation or delivery experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with defensive driving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain accurate passenger and vehicle statistics.
• Ability to communicate with clients with courtesy and respect.

Responsibilities

Non-CDL Bus Driver

Full Time AM Shift

The York County Transportation Program seeks a qualified individual to transport persons to and from their destination for general public Demand Response and Flex Routes. Requires assisting all passengers, including those using mobility devises on and off the vehicle.

The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications, skills and abilities:

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to comply with Federal drug/alcohol testing requirements and all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations according to the US Dept. of Transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and pre-employment drug screen.
