Position Purpose:

The Delivery Driver Non-Regulated role is essential for ensuring the prompt, reliable, and professional delivery of products to business customers, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position requires individuals to manage product delivery tasks, including verifying order accuracy, securing loads, and addressing customer interactions with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication and time management skills, ability to handle physically demanding tasks, and maintain a clean driving record along with a valid U.S. driver's license, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of products by adhering to scheduled routes and following the company's standard operating procedures to maximize customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers to enhance the overall client experience and uphold the company's reputation.

  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-delivery inspections of orders to verify accuracy, addressing any discrepancies in a prompt manner to ensure product integrity.

  • Demonstrate commitment to physical job requirements by effectively performing tasks involving heavy lifting, sustaining efficiency and safety standards.

  • Utilize exceptional time management and organizational skills to optimize delivery routes and reduce transit times, contributing to operational excellence.

  • Safeguard company assets and customer products by adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean driving record, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

Direct Manager Direct Reports:

Reports directly to the Branch Manager.
This position does not have direct reports.


The role focuses on individual contribution towards achieving operational goals and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.



Travel Requirements:

The Delivery Driver role at the Company requires local travel to various client locations on a daily basis to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products, with occasional additional travel as needed to meet customer demands and operational objectives.



Physical Requirements:

The position of Delivery Driver in the Company involves both dynamic and physical elements customary to delivery and office-based operations. This role requires the ability to perform tasks such as sitting for extended periods while driving, standing, walking, bending, and lifting products up to 25 pounds regularly. Applicants should exhibit the capacity to engage in repetitive motions and endure variable weather conditions during deliveries. Minimum Qualifications:


  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license specific to the state of employment.

  • Maintenance of a clean driving record, demonstrating safe and responsible driving habits.

  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

  • Proven ability to lift and manage items weighing at least 25 pounds, ensuring the ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, enabling professional and courteous interaction with clients and team members.

  • Capable of handling unexpected challenges on the road-such as delays, route changes, or equipment issues-using sound judgment to find quick and effective solutions.

  • Demonstrates the physical endurance required for long driving hours and freight handling, sustaining productivity throughout demanding delivery shifts.



Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.



Preferred Education:

An Associate degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred to enhance delivery efficiency and customer interaction.



Minimum Years Of Work Experience:

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related position is highly preferred.



Certifications:

Defensive Driving Certification preferred to enhance safety and compliance standards
Certification in Professional Customer Service preferred to ensure exceptional client interactions
