Job summary

Reddy Ice in Channelview, TX is seeking a full-time Route Driver to deliver ice to customers without requiring a CDL. You will service a defined geographic region and operate the appropriate merchandisers and iceboxes, with duties including loading/unloading and rotating stock.

Job Summary

This position delivers ice to customers in vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver's License. The route driver is assigned a specific geographic region and/or route to service. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs.

Education & Experience Required

• Must have a High School education or GED.
• This position requires a minimum of an operator's driver's license and at least two years of driving experience.
• Must possess a clean driving record.
• Must have basic math skills and exceptional customer relations skills.

Education & Experience Preferred

• Two years previous local delivery driver experience preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to drive in stressful environments.
• Unloads, loads, and rotates product in merchandisers / iceboxes.
• Required to lift 40 lbs. throughout the day.
• Required to work in all weather conditions.
• Weekend, night, and holiday work is a requirement of the position.
• Will perform work in retail stores; frequently driving between retail stores and plant location.
• Overtime may be required.
• Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
