Job summary

Toft Dairy Inc. in Sandusky, OH is hiring a Full-Time Non-CDL Delivery Driver to safely deliver dairy and ice cream products on early-morning routes. You will load, transport, and unload orders, maintain temperature control, and ensure accurate deliveries with friendly customer service.

Full Time Non-CDL Delivery Driver
Toft Dairy 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky, OH 44870
Schedule Monday through Friday
Start time Midnight – 4:00AM
End time Completion of delivery route (typically an 8-hour day)

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering dairy and ice cream products to customers using a non-CDL box truck. This role ensures timely deliveries, proper product handling, and excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and transportation regulations. The Driver plays a key role in representing the company and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck to deliver products to assigned customer locations
• Load, transport, and unload dairy and ice cream products in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow established delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
• Verify product quantities and accuracy during loading and delivery
• Maintain proper temperature control and product integrity during transport
• Collect and complete delivery paperwork, invoices, and customer documentation
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, or issues to dispatch or management
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
• Assist in warehouse loading and staging as needed

Customer Service Responsibilities:

• Provide professional and courteous service to all customers
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers at delivery locations
• Address customer questions or concerns and elevate issues when necessary
• Ensure accurate and complete deliveries to meet customer expectations

Compliance & Safety Expectations:

• Follow all company safety policies and safe driving practices
• Comply with all applicable traffic laws and transportation regulations
• Adhere to food safety standards and proper product handling procedures
• Maintain a clean driving record and report any incidents immediately
• Ensure safe loading, unloading, and handling of products to prevent damage or injury

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to push/pull loaded hand trucks or carts
• Ability to get in and out of the truck frequently throughout the day
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, and occasional weekends or holidays as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid standard driver's license (non-CDL) with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate a box truck safely and confidently
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, driving record checks)

Preferred:

• Previous delivery driving experience
• Experience in food, beverage, or dairy distribution
• Familiarity with local routes and navigation
